Keno Tactics That Work

It may not often be thought of as the most fun game in the world of betting, but keno has loads of zealous supporters. And so it should! It’s a routinely exciting lotto-style game that’s uncomplicated to play, readily available in several different styles, and one that may yield mega-dollars for people who master its many subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the basics here.

When explaining keno to beginners, some wagering pros compare it to lotto. This is at least to a certain extent correct, in that both games are generally numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far might be to underrate the great many unique characteristics that make keno so fun. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the ability to choose the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of eighty numbers, but the user is granted an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to pick as many (or as few) numbers as he needs. And it doesn’t take a genius to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your handpicked numbers with a normalball point pen like you had when you were in third grade.

Once you’ve selected your numbers, carry the keno card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The clerk will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) expensive piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers you and would like to help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will win exactly $.00 for your actions.

So, there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno ticket. Let’s move on to something a little bit more complex, ok?

After you’ve selected your numbers, settle into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action take place on a monitor. That’s where the winning numbers appear in lights. If you marked winners, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to dally, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You need to get back to the keno stand to get your winnings, and a new keno game will likely begin within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Since you don’t trust yourself to meet that 5 minute margin each and every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from two to 20 tickets. When the maximum amount of rounds (matching the number of tickets) is completed, you are then able to get off your lazy rump and go retrieve your winnings.

Yet an additional choice is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which commonly lets you make number picks for thirty rounds or more. Hell, you can take an ocean cruise and not have to worry about getting back in time to get your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after it’s bought!

And now you are aware of a couple essential methods for winning keno. If you are a good gambler, they may seem to be stupidly obvious. Still, it does not hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a newbie keno player, every tiny bit of advice will help make your keno games more entertaining.
