Keno was first played in two hundred BC by the Chinese military commander, Cheung Leung who utilized keno as a way to finance his failing army. The metropolis of Cheung was waging a battle, and after a bit of time appeared to be facing country wide famine with the drastic drop in supplies. Cheung Leung had to come up with a quick response for the economic disaster and to acquire income for his army. He thusly designed the game we know today as keno and it was a wonderful success.
Keno used to be referred to as the White Pigeon Game, seeing as the winning numbers were delivered by pigeons from larger municipalities to the smaller villages. The lottery ‘Keno’ was brought to the US in the 1800s by Chinese immigrants who migrated to the US for work. In those times, Keno was played with one hundred and twenty numbers.
Today, Keno is most often played with just 80 numbers in almost all of American land based casinos along with web casinos. Keno is mainly enjoyed today because of the laid back nature of playing the game and the simple fact that there are no expertise needed to enjoy Keno. Despite the reality that the odds of coming away with a win are terrible, there is constantly the chance that you might win quite big with a tiny gaming investment.
Keno is enjoyed with eighty numbers with twenty numbers drawn each round. Enthusiasts of Keno can pick from 2 to ten numbers and gamble on them, whatever amount they want to. The pay out of Keno is according to the bets made and the matching of numbers.
Keno grew in popularity in the United States near the end of the 19th century when the Chinese characters were replaced with more familiar, US numbers. Lotteries were not covered under the laws of gaming in Nevada State in Nineteen Thirty One. The casinos altered the name of the ‘Chinese lottery’ to ‘horse race keno’ utilizing the idea that the numbers are horses and you want your horses to come in. When the Nevada government passed a law that levied a tax on off track wagering, the casinos quickly altered the name to ‘Keno’.
