Keno was created in two hundred BC by the Chinese army leader, Cheung Leung who utilized this game as a monetary resource for his failing forces. The city of Cheung was waging a battle, and after a bit of time seemed to be looking at a country wide shortage of food with the drastic drop in supplies. Cheung Leung had to come up with a fast response for the economic adversity and to produce income for his army. He, as it follows created the game we know today as keno and it was a great success.
Keno was well-known as the White Pigeon Game, due to the fact that the winning numbers were sent out by pigeons from larger cities to the tinier villages. The lottery ‘Keno’ was imported to America in the 1800s by Chinese expatriates who came to the States for work. In those times, Keno used 120 numbers.
Today, Keno is regularly enjoyed with eighty numbers in almost all of American land based casinos along with net casinos. Keno is mainly played today as a result of the laid back nature of betting the game and the basic reality that there are no expertise required to play Keno. Despite the reality that the odds of getting a win are terrible, there is always the possibility that you might win quite large with a tiny gambling investment.

Keno grew in popularity in the US near the end of the 1800’s when the Chinese characters were changed with , US numbers. Lotteries were not covered under the laws of gambling in Nevada State in Nineteen Thirty One. The casinos renamed the ‘Chinese lotto’ to ‘horse race keno’ employing the notion that the numbers are horses and you are looking for your horses to place. When a law passed that taxed off track betting, the casinos quickly altered the name to ‘Keno’.
