It will not usually be considered the best game in the arena of betting, but keno has millions of fanatical followers. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a routinely thrilling lotto-type game that’s simple to pickup, abundantly available in lots of different styles, and one that might return millions for gamblers who learn its limitless subtle nuances. But let’s deal with the beginner’s rules for now.

When describing keno to novices, some gaming experts compare it to bingo. This is at least nearly apt, in that each game is essentially numerical. Don’t drop this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your loud shirt and wants help out, without a winning slip in hand, you will be given exactly $.00 for your actions.

Now there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno ticket. Let us move on to something a little more advanced, yes?

Now that you’ve selected your numbers, get yourself into a comfy keno booth and watch the action happen on the big keno monitor. That is where the winning numbers appear for us. If you selected winners, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to dilly dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You need to get back to the keno booth to redeem your winnings, and then a new keno game will probably start within a few minutes.

Strategy number two: always make sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Since you can not trust yourself to meet that five-minute deadline every time, you always have the option of buying a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to twenty slips. When the max number of games (the same as the number of tickets) is completed, you can then get off your lazy butt and go redeem your winnings.

Another alternative is known as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which generally allows you make number selection for thirty games or more. Gosh, you can take all the time in the world and not have to worry about getting back in time to get your numbers. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after it’s purchased!

And now you have learned a couple of needed strategies for winning keno. If you are a good gambler, they may seem quite obvious. But it doesn’t hurt to study up on the basics, and if you are a novice player, every little bit of direction will help make your keno betting more enjoyable.
