It might not ordinarily be looked at as the best game in the arena of wagering, but keno has massive amounts of steadfast enthusiasts. As well it should! It’s a constantly entertaining lottery-type game that’s a breeze to learn, abundantly available in tons of assorted styles, and one that will return millions of dollars for players who learn its uncounted subtle rules. But let’s start with the basic rules here.

When explaining keno to novices, some betting experts compare it to the lottery. This is at least to some extent correct, in that each game is fundamentally numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far is likely to be to minimize the good many unique aspect that make keno so exciting. Unlike bingo, keno players have the freedom to pick the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the player is given an additional level of personal responsibility by being able to choose as many (or as few) numbers as he or she feels they need. And it doesn’t take a super genius to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your picked numbers with a normal#2 pencil like you had when you were in grade 3.

Now that you’ve picked your numbers, carry the card back to the nice person at the keno stand. The girl will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not misplace this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your face and would like to help out, without a winning receipt with you, you will be given precisely $.00 for your actions.

Ok, there you have strategy numero uno: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let us move to something a bit more complex, ok?

Once you’ve selected your numbers, get into a comfy keno booth and watch the action unfold on the big keno monitor. This is where the winning numbers appear in lights. If you marked winning numbers, mark your card aptly. Be sure not to dilly dally, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You need to get back to the keno booth to collect your winnings, since a new drawing will surely begin within 5 minutes.

Strategy number 2: always make it back to the keno booth on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to make that five-minute deadline every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" ticket. These include the very same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from two to 20 cards. When the maximum amount of keno games (fitting the amount of tickets) is finished, you will then be able to get off your numb butt and go retrieve your winnings.

Yet another opportunity is referred to as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally allows you make number choices for 30 keno games or more. Golly, you can take vacation to France and not have to fret about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

So now you are aware of a handful of necessary methods for winning keno. If you are a skillful keno player, they might seem to be incredibly obvious. Still, it won’t hurt to bone up on the basics, and if you are a novice user, every little bit of direction will help make your keno experience more fun.
