Keno was first played in two hundred BC by the Chinese military commander, Cheung Leung who used keno as a finance resource for his failing army. The metropolis of Cheung was waging a war, and after a bit of war time seemed to be looking at a national famine with the dramatic drop in supplies. Cheung Leung needed to develop a quick response for the financial adversity and to acquire income for his forces. He thusly created the game we now know as keno and it was a great success.

Keno was known as the White Pigeon Game, because the winning numbers were sent out by pigeons from bigger municipalities to the smaller towns. The lotto ‘Keno’ was imported to the USA in the 1800s by Chinese expatriates who headed to the United States for work. In those times, Keno used 120 numbers.

Today, Keno is typically bet on with eighty numbers in most of American based casinos along with internet casinos. Keno is commonly enjoyed today as a result of the laid back nature of playing the game and the simple fact that there are little expertise needed to enjoy Keno. Despite the fact that the odds of getting a win are appalling, there is always the chance that you will win quite big with a tiny gaming investment.

Keno is enjoyed with eighty numbers and 20 numbers are selected each round. Enthusiasts of Keno can choose from 2 to 10 numbers and bet on them, whatever amount they want to. The pay out of Keno is according to the bets made and the roll out of matching numbers.

Keno has grown in acceptance in the US since the end of the 1800’s when the Chinese characters were replaced with more familiar, US numbers. Lottos weren’t covered under the laws of gambling in Nevada State in Nineteen Thirty One. The casinos renamed the ‘Chinese lottery’ to ‘horse race keno’ utilizing the idea that the numbers are horses and you are wanting your horses to come in. When a law passed that levied a tax on off track wagering, Nevada casinos swiftly altered the name to ‘Keno’.
