Keno Methods That Will Help You Win

It may not usually be seen as the best game in the world of gambling, but keno has millions and millions of keen followers. And so it should! It’s a routinely entertaining lottery-like game that’s a snap to master, abundantly available in a number of assorted styles, and one that might yield mega-dollars for people who master its numerous subtle rules. But let’s begin with the basic facts for now.

When describing keno to beginners, some wagering pros compare it to the lottery. This is at least nearly correct, in that both games are essentially numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far can be to underrate the innumerable unique characteristics that make keno so compelling. Unlike bingo, keno users have the freedom to choose the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is furnished with an additional degree of personal responsibility by being able to pick as numerous (or as few) numbers as he wants. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your handpicked numbers with a standard#2 pencil like you had back in the day.

Once you’ve selected your numbers, take your keno card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not lose this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your loud shirt and wants help out, without a winning slip with you, you will get exactly $.00 for your time spent.

OK, so there you have strategy numero uno: always make sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s get on to something a little bit more complex, ok?

Once you’ve picked out your numbers, settle into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action happen on the monitor. That’s where the winning numbers show up for all to see. If you’ve got winners, mark your card accordingly. Sake care not to take too much time, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You are required to get up to the keno booth to get your winnings, and a new keno game will most likely start up within not too many minutes.

Strategy number 2: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Since you can not trust yourself to make that five-minute margin every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" ticket. These include the very same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty cards. When the maximum amount of rounds (fitting the amount of tickets) is finished, you will then be able to get off your numb butt and go redeem your winnings.

Another choice is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which generally lets you make number picks for 30 keno games or more. Hell, you can take an ocean cruise and not have to fret about getting back in time to retrieve your numbers. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

So now you know a handful of required techniques for winning keno. If you are an advanced gambler, they might seem quite obvious. But it will not hurt to bone up on the fundamentals, and if you are a new user, every little bit of direction will help make your keno betting more agreeable.
