Keno Strategies That Win

It may not often be thought of as the funnest game in the arena of gaming, but keno has massive amounts of devoted supporters. And so it should! It’s a routinely thrilling lotto-style game that’s easy to learn, abundantly available in several different variations, and one that will yield mega-dollars for players who master its many subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the basic rules here.

When explaining keno to amateurs, some gambling pros compare it to the lottery. This is at least to a certain extent apt, in that both games are essentially numerical. But to carry that comparison too far can be to detract from the endless unique aspect that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno players have the ability to select the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the player is granted an increased degree of personal responsibility by being able to select as numerous (or as few) numbers as he or she desires. And it doesn’t take a super genius to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your desired numbers with a ordinary#2 pencil like you had back in school.

Now that you have selected your numbers, carry the keno card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The nice person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Make sure no to misplace this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your mug and would like to help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will be given exactly $.00 for your efforts.

And there you have strategy number one: always make sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s go on to something a little more complicated, yes?

Once you’ve marked your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and watch the action unfold on a monitor. That is where the winning numbers are shown for all to see. If you picked winners, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to take too much time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You are required to get back to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, and then a new keno game will most likely start up within 5 minutes.

Strategy number two: always make sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Since you can not trust yourself to beat that five-minute deadline each and every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to twenty slips. When the max amount of rounds (matching the number of tickets) is completed, you may then get off your numb bum and go collect your winnings.

Another opportunity is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which usually allows you make number picks for 30 keno games or more. Heck, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to fret about getting back in time to redeem your winnings. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after it’s bought!

So now you have learned a couple of essential schemes for winning keno. If you are an adept gambler, they might appear to be incredibly obvious. Still, it will not hurt to study up on the basics, and if you are a newbie user, every bit of information will help make your keno experience more enjoyable.
